Kids events in Manila January 2017

Happy New Year everyone! Hope this year will be a peaceful and tolerant one! Here is our first monthly list of the year, with tips for child friendly events, activities and workshops in Manila. You'll find things to do for all ages and interests, we try to include something for everyone! Make sure to check back regularly as we will update this list throughout the month. SPORTS | Archery War Games

Level up your Archery skills. PLAY | Digital Stories

Enter the five chambers of Planet Story where you can star in virtual worlds and share your own digital stories in a new exhibit at The Mind Museum. Play with different virtual instruments and show your moves in "Musical Storm", ride your own rocket and explore the universe in "Other Worlds", catch a flying trinket in "Mystery House", travel with the magical egg in "The Seatmate", and dive into colorful adventures in "Dreamland". PLAY | Dinoplay

Dinoplay is back! And this time the Southern kids don't need to travel far as it has landed in Alabang Town Center. Explore the mind-blowing world of dinosaurs, and go dig for bones! You can reserve your day and time (each slot is 1.5 hrs) or just walk in during mall hours. MUSEUM | Photographs

Originally trained in as an airplane mechanic, Tommy Hafalla (b. 1957) volunteered on medical missions to the most isolated areas in the Northern Philippine Cordillera, where he was introduced to the people and their ritual way of life. For over three decades, he has been photographing the way of life of the indigenous communities in this region, which includes Benguet, Kalinga, Ifugao, and the Mountain Province. His photographs are now on view in the exhibition ILI: Photographs by Tommy Rafaela. ARTS | BGC Arts Center Festival

The BGC Arts Center Festival will be a showcase of performing arts, exhibitions, and other forms of artistic expression that will illuminate the many layers that modern Filipino artists are animating to give voice to the range of the human condition. There are special performances for kids: on Saturday Pinocchio by Kids Acts and on Sunday a children's play by Artist Playground. With a variety of events to explore, you will see the colors, hear the music, and feel the movement. SPORTS | Parkour
