Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
The legendary Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory hails from a small town in Durango Colorado, a quaint Victorian-era town set amidst a backdrop of majestic, snow-capped mountains. People here are defined by their commitment to good craft and quality.
Since founder Frank Crail set up his chocolate factory on the town's outskirts in 1981, he expanded to hundreds of chocolate shops throughout the United States, Canada, the Middle East, and now, Asia-Pacific.
They serve great coffee, too!
From 1981 until today, RMCH has built a loyal international following based on its high quality products. And what's not to love! The typical store offers over 40 varieties of chocolates, truffles, brittles, caramel apples, dipped marshmallows and specialty packaged items that are ideal for gift-giving.
Another thing I love about the stores is the in-store preparation of selected products. Fudge, caramel apples, dipped fruits, and barks are made in clear view. Since I prefer to watch how things are made, rather than creating it, this place could be my new favorite hangout.
Caramel apples ready to be decorated
It seems that the biggest fans of this Chocolate Factory flock to their stores for their caramel apples. The dipped treats come in many variations, like cheesecake, almond, M&M's, pecan, worms & dirt, snickers, s'mores and a lot more.
And the apples look so pretty! I wouldn't mind to receive a little gift like these. Mind you, the caramel and icing is incredibly sweet. So, it's a good thing that the fruit is of the tart green variety, to balance out all that sweetness.
Heaven help me...
While most children will love the marshmallows dipped in chocolate, oreos and sprinkles, some might prefer a healthier choice like the frozen fresh banana, dried mangoes and orange peel dipped in chocolate.

And, very unexpected, they even have treats for your dogs! Our furry friends can't have chocolate, but they can enjoy these dog bones dipped in a creamy white confection. Safe for them to eat, and don't we all deserve a treat, once in a while?

And they have something I have never tried before, chocolate dipped potato chips! It could actually be a good combination of salty and sweet. Will let you know.
What I did try was their signature hot chocolate. The chocolate bar that comes with it, sweetened the somewhat bitter liquid. Since I prefer a slight bitterness, I saved half of the bar for the kids, and drank the cocoa on its own.

Molito Branch Exclusives
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, brought into the Philippines by Royal Bear Confectioneries Inc. opened its 4th shop last November 28, 2017, at Molito Alabang.
Since the Molito branch is set up as a cafe, you can also enjoy their signature beverages like Hot Chocolate and the Mountain Latte, along with its new offerings which are exclusive to this first store in the South:
Signature Triple Chocolate Soft Serve:
a decadent soft serve made with real chocolate on a crunchy chocolate waffle cone. Will go back for these!
Signature Chocolate Shots:
made with rich Rocky Mountain chocolate, then filled with light cream and a strawberry. Available on weekends only.
Chocolate Lava Cake and Brownie Ala Mode:
both served with vanilla ice cream and a dollop of chocolate.
Sandwiches and Pies:
puff pastries with sausage, chicken curry, chill con carne, or tuna toasted to perfection. I'm happy they included some hearty dishes.
Molito's branch is a perfect place to host a baby shower, or a birthday party. Since the shop is not too big, it's best for small groups.
And I do hope they will consider to add a fun activity we did at the opening, to decorate your own caramel apple! My kids were already asking if they could make their own. Hopefully, soon!
Would be a fun activity to add in the store.
Another option would be to let the Chocolate Factory come to you. So, if you prefer to celebrate your party at home, they will wheel in their party cart, full with chocolate goodies.
