Sip & Gogh
by: Manila For Kids

Do you and your children love painting? Then you must go to Sip & Gogh! They say they are "the first-of-its-kind paint and sip studio in the country. A perfect place to be with family and friends to relax, socialize and enjoy time painting together while sipping your favourite beverage". We went to try out their newest branch in Alabang. Painting - Manila for Kids How does it work? They advise you to go to their website, select the branch you want to go to and then check out their calendar to choose your desired session. There are a few options: - Little Van Gogh; for children only. - Featured session; one painting is featured and all participants make that same painting. - Open session; you can select any painting they have in their gallery. There are a few more options, but these are the most commonly scheduled.

We selected an open session as we all had our favourite painting we wanted to try out.  After choosing, the instructors showed us our seats and introduced themselves. They asked what we wanted to drink and provided us with everything we needed. Canvas, paints, brushes, palette, easel, and apron. Best part for the adults; they serve wine! The kids had juice, cookies and grapes. Helpful instructors The instructors are art graduates so they know their stuff. They explained how to mix the paint, what kind of brushes and strokes to use and showed us some techniques. They were very helpful and sweet to the kids. Once in a while we would take a mini break and sip our wine or mango juice and eat the snacks that came with it. Since I have close to no experience with painting, I was pretty sceptical how mine would turn out. So, it was quite a surprise that it looked good, I would actually be happy to hang it in my house! My middle one chose a very detailed Van Gogh painting and it took her the longest to finish, but she was also done within the two hours. Painting - Manila for Kids The paintings were then dried and placed in a sturdy bag to take home.   Will we be back? Absolutely. We loved it! Painting is relaxing and fun, and even if you have no experience, you will still be able to produce a decent looking picture. The kids wanted to go back the next day. We loved that we could do this as a family, but you may also leave your children there while you're running errands.
